From the portfolio of Aaron Tang a proposal for a staircase made of simple mechanical hinges and pistons, that folds flush against the wall to allow easier access a lower space.

thanks Sticky

calvin... idea's are for working with and products are situational... work with rather than against so show offer your comments in a constructive helpful way, as opposed to dimissive. i myself think it has the potential to be excellent.

NICE AS A CONCEPT BUT I HAVE A DOUBT HOW THE STAIRS WILL FOLD UP.

Hey Tango, not sure if my other comment went through? But I said last time that I like your design, Fundamentally because it is very simialr to something I have been working on for a number of years now and finally this month, its being shown in a public exhibition. I have devoted this model to the DIY market as a replacement to ladders and fixed staircases and its also height and width adjustable, lockable and easily transportable. But the others in the range are more permanent fixtures.
If you want to catch up I'd be more than happy to chat with someone on the same wavelength.
All the best Zev
