Xrange gets its name from how it spatially interlocks around an existing stone structure, in some cases creating narrow rooms between the old and new exteriors. The concept is further emphasized on the elevation of the 500 sqm residence, by the fenestration and surface finish.

This looks like a really interesting project, whereabouts in Tapei is it?
It reminds me of a story of the reverse that was in Surrey, UK where somebody built a bungalow inside a Barn: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/surrey/6432575.stm
