not for profit

The guiding principle of the nonprofit Habitat for Humanity comes from the Old Testament: "If a brother living near you becomes poor, you must provide for him . . . do not make a profit on the goods you sell him." Increasingly however, many are profiting handsomely from the families Habitat has built homes for moving beyond building affordable houses for the underprivileged.
